RMT, BSc
Ever since Kaoru was a child, massage therapy was a part of her daily life for prevention and care for injuries, pain, and wellness. Kaoru developed an interest in relationship between child development and human touch while majoring in Human Development at University. After becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist in the U.S, Kaoru realized that she wanted to deepen her clinical knowledge and skills to pursue her career in massage therapy. She completed the 3,000 hour program at the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in 2009.
It still fascinates her what human touch, even very light and gentle touch, can do for the health and wellness of all age groups. Kaoru looks at the individual as a whole and approaches the areas that are requiring attention. Her treatment goal is to restore homeostasis which is a balance to the whole body on all levels, rather than chasing the pain. Her treatment is mainly performed by Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy and Myofascial Release. If you’re looking for a deep tissue massage, please book with another RMT in the clinic.
